- Take off your jewellery when swimming, exercising, sleeping or taking a shower and avoid contact with lotion, perfume or hairspray. After wearing, rinse with warm soapy water and dry completely to minimise tarnishing.
- Sterling silver tarnishes over time acquiring a beautiful darker antique patina with repeated wear. This oxidisation process accelerates when exposed to moisture, oxygen or natural oils. Sterling silver jewellery can be cleaned with warm soapy water, a soft silver jewellery cleaning cloth or with extra fine emery paper (grits 1500+).
- Sterling silver jewellery with dark patina details will lighten over time by exposing bright silver colour underneath due to the build-up of scratches with repeated wear. This allows you to enjoy different looks as time goes by. Avoid using any chemical cleaners on the patinated parts. Warm soapy water or a damp soft cloth can be used instead to clean them.
- Copper and brass objects tarnish/oxidise and gain beautiful antique surface. If you want to clean the patina you can rub the surface with fine steel wool in a circular motion and rinse in soapy water and wipe with soft cloth. Please make sure you do NOT leave water droplets on the surface as moisture accelerates oxidisation.
